Tottenham tube

Tottenham Court Road tube station opened as part of the Central London Railway on 30 July 1900. The old platform has undergone several remodellings in its time, but the last one was in the early eighties. As such, the station is now feeling its age and has built up a lot of grime over the decades. In my opinion, this makes it far more photogenic than some of the more sterile stations – a bit of decay helps to emphasise the age of this incredibly venerable transport system!
